Sisseton Gymnastics Team take third at Deuel Invite

The Sisseton Redmen Gym-nastics Team took third in the Deuel Invite in Clear Lake on Saturday, Jan. 31, with eight teams competing.

The Estelline Hendricks Redhawks took the team title with 140 points. The Chamberlain Cubs took second wih 132.65 points, and Sisseton took third with 132.45. The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team downed the Britton/Hecla Braves 54-30 in a Northeast Conference matchup held in Britton on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team traveled to Clark to take on the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones on Thursday, Feb. 5, in a Northeast Conference clash. Sisseton fell to the Cyclones 45-56.

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team traveled to Madison to compete in the Dak XII/NEC Clash on Saturday, Jan. 31, falling to the Dakota Valley Panthers 50-60.

Derrick Flute led the way for the Redmen with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 1 blocked shot. Carter Stickland added 13 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists and 3 steals. The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team Basketball Team dropped a Northeast Conference matchup against the Britton/Hecla Braves 37-45 on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Sisseton jumped out to a 12-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Braves stormed back in the second quarter and took a 27-25 lead into halftime, and hung on to take the win in the second half 45-37. Sisseton Boys go 2-0 at home wrestling triangular

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Wrestling Team went 2-0 in the Sisseton Triangular on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Sisseton wrestled Webster first, winning 51-13. There were several matches that were not forfeits, with Kiya Redday, Gavin Fryer and Aykre Piotter all getting wins for the Redmen in those matches.

The Sisseton Redmen Gym-nastics Team took third place in Deuel Quad on Friday, Jan. 23, in Clear Lake.

The Deuel Cardinals won the Quad scoring 138 points. The Britton/Hecla Braves took second scoring 133.25. Sisseton was third with 133 points, and Milbank Area fourth with 132.7 points.

Sisseton Girls Wrestlers defeat Webster 17-12 at home

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Wrestling Team defeated the Webster Area Bearcats 17-12 in the Sisseton Triangular on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Sisseton’s Isabella Current defeated Webster’s Macee McGregor in a technical foul 18-3, and Cante Wiliams of Webster pinned Sisseton’s Maryann Rice. These were the only wrestled matches, as all other points were from forfeits.
