Sisseton Girls move on to Round 2 of Regions with win over Webster Area

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team moved on to the second round of the Region 1A Tournament with a 70-35 victory over the Webster Area Bearcats on Tuesday, Feb. 24, in Sisseton.

Sisseton Boys earn hard fought victory over Deuel

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team scored a hard fought victory over the Deuel Cardinals 56-43 on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton.

Deuel jumped out to a 16-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. Sisseton outscored Deuel 20-13 in the second quarter to tie the game up 29-29 at halftime. Sisseton outscored Deuel 27-14 in the second half to bring home the victory.

Sisseton Gymnastics Team takes fifth at State A

The Sisseton Redmen Gym-nastics Team took fifth place at the State A Meet held Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14, in Mitchell.

The Estelline/Hendricks Redhawks were the State A Team Champions, with the PEHMV Royals taking second, Deuel Cardinals taking third, Madison Bulldogs fourth, Sisseton Redmen fifth, Chamberlain Cubs sixth, Britton/Hecla Braves seventh, and Milbank Bulldogs eighth.

Sisseton Wrestling Team goes 4-0 at McCook Central/Montrose Duals

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Wrestling Team competed in the McCook Cenral/Montrose Round Robin Duals on Friday, Feb. 13 , going 4-0.

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team rolled to a 60-34 victory over the Tiospa Zina Wambdi on Friday, Feb. 13, at Tiospa Zina.

Sisseton jumped out to a 12-6 first quarter lead, extended the lead to 27-14 at halftime, and rolled to the 60-34 victory.

Sisseton wrestlers compete in Britton Quad

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Wrestling Team competed in the Britton Quadrangular on Thursday, Feb. 12.

Sisseton defeated Britton-Hecla in their first match 41-32. In their second match, Sisseton defeated Deuel/Deubrook Area 57-18, and in the third match, Sisseton defeated Webster Area 60-15. The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team defeated the Deuel Cardinals 55-28 on Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Sisseton.

Piper Langager led the way for the Redmen with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Saylor Langager added 11 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal. Fallon Hawkins hit for 10 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.

Camdyn Peterreins had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist for the Cardinals.

Sisseton Girls Wrestling Team takes 4th at Region 1 Tourney

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Wrestling Team took fourth place in Region 1 on Thursday, Feb. 19, at DeSmet.

Sisseton had four girls qualify for the State Tourna-ment to be held in Sioux Falls Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 26-28. The top four placers in each weight class advance to State.
