The Hamlin Chargers traveled to Sisseton and took down the Redmen 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, and 25-1) in a Northeast Conference matchup on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Sisseton golfers compete at State A Tourney

Two Sisseton Redmen golfers competed in the State A Golf Tournament held in Vermillion on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 6-7.

Luke Nielsen tied for 28th place for the Redmen, shooting a 164 (84-80) in the two day tournament. Carter Stickland took 88th place shooting a 201 (103-98) for the two day event.

Hayden Heig of St. Thomas More was the State A champion golfer shooting a 138 (69-69). Dakota Valley claimed the honor of State A Champion Team.

Sisseton competes at NEC Cross Country Meet in Webster

The Northeast Conference Cross Country Meet was held at the Webster Golf Course on Thursday, Oct. 9, with seven teams competing for the title.

What started as a slow, grind-it-out battle turned into a second-half showcase for the Sisseton Redmen, who roared back to defeat the Milbank Bulldogs 32-8 on Monday, Oct. 6, at Milbank.

Sisseton Cross Country runners place second at home

The Sisseton Redmen Cross Country Teams held the second annual Sisseton Invite Cross Country Meet at the Valley View Country Club in Sisseton on Thursday, Oct. 2, with the Sisseton Varsity Boys Team taking second place.

Ryder Graff led the way for the Redmen, taking second place in a time of 17:46.83. Brett Hansen took fifth place in a time of 18:32.97, and Noah Estwick took ninth place with a time of 20:01.74.

Deuel won the team competition with a score of 10, with Sisseton close behind with a score of 13.

Sisseton Redmen fall to Britton/Hecla Braves

The Sisseton Redmen Volleyball Team fell to the Britton/Hecla Braves 1-3 (25-21, 12-25, 21-25, and 19-25) in a Northeast Conference matchup held at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Sisseton golfers compete at Regions, two qualify for State

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Golf Team competed in the Region 1A Golf Tournament in Madison on Monday, Sept. 29, with two Redmen golfers – Carter Stickland and Luke Nielsen – qualifying for the State A Tournament in Vermillion Oct. 6-7.

At the Region 1A Tournament, Stickland and Nielsen both shot a 91 to tie for 17th place and qualify for the State A Golf Tournament. Cash Opsal tied for 23rd place shooting a 97, Isaiah Deutsch tied for 28th shooting a 109, and Karter Deutsch tied for 32nd shooting a 118.

Jonathan DeBoer of Milbank was the medalist shooting 76.

Sisseton competes in Border Battle Cross Country Meet

The Sisseton Redmen Boys and Girls Cross Country Team competed in the Border Battle Cross Country Meet on Saturday, Sept. 27, in Grand Forks, ND.

Tanaeya Wanna set the pace for the Redmen Girls, taking 126th place in a time of 23:37.4. Katie Spatz came in 130th in a time of 23:40.6, Aubrey Guy took 133rd in a time of 23:44.7, Ivory LaBatte took 148th in a time of 24:09.3, and Izabell Ceroll came in 165th in a time of 24:26.1.

Legion Post 50 Baseball Team takes fifth in Milbank Tournament

The Sisseton American Legion Post 50 baseball team took 5th place in the Heritage Tournament that took place June 19-22 in Milbank. The team played in three games on the weekend and were able to win two of them.
