TRACK RETURNING LETTERMEN

The Sisseton High School track team is begin- ning its 2023 season. Returning lettermen include (front row, left to right) Quincy Harris, Ronald Neilan, Emmalee Nielsen, Hannah Gibson, (back row) Hunter Biel, Talyn Barse, Mason Herzog and Keondray White. Winners announced for 23rd Annual All-Star Game

Pheasant Country 102.9 hosted its 23rd Annual All-Star Game on Saturday, Mar. 25 2023, at the Summit Gym.

This year, instead of teams being chosen by Class A or Class B, were chosen by a draw. Teams were identified as Team A and Team B for both boys and girls games.

WELCOME HOME CELEBRATION-

A Welcome Home Celebration was held at Ben Reifel Gymnasium on Sunday, Mar. 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. to welcome home the third place winners of the State A Girls Basketball Tournament, the Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball team. Sisseton brought home more than just the Third Place Trophy. The cheerleaders won the Spirit of Six award. Shown are the trophies from the State A Tourney and SoDak 16. Sisseton Lady Redmen bring home third

The Sisseton Redmen girls basketball team brought home the third place trophy with their 55-47 victory over the Red Cloud Lady Crusaders on Saturday, Mar. 11 at the Watertown Civic Arena.

Sisseton held the lead for all of the game, but Red Cloud had a run in the fourth quarter to tie the game up at 47-47. Sisseton scored the last eight points of the ball game to bring home the third place trophy victory 55-47. Sisseton girls basketball team falls in semi-finals

The Sisseton Redmen girls basketball team fell to the Wagner Red Raiders 45-63 in the semi-finals at the State A Tournament on Friday, Mar. 10 at the Watertown Civic Arena.

Sisseton gets huge win over SF Christian

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball team got a huge win over Sioux Falls Christian Chargers 58-47 in the first round of the State A Girls Basketball Tournament held in the Watertown Civic Arena on Thursday, Mar. 9.

Waubay/Summit Boys move on

The Waubay/Summit Mustangs Boys Basketball Team moved on to the SoDak 16 game with a 44-36 victory over the Tiospa Zina Wambdi on Friday, Mar. 3, in Summit.

Damon Opdahl led the Mustangs with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists. Jackson Wohlleber chipped in with 9 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 4 assists.

Sisseton moves on to SoDak 16 with win over Roncalli

The Sisseton Redmen girls basketball team advanced to the SoDak 16 with a 67-55 win over Aberdeen Roncalli on Monday, Feb. 27, at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton.

Sisseton got off to a 18-13 first quarter lead. Roncalli cut into the lead to make it 32-29 at half-time.Sisseton out-scored Roncalli 16-11 to move ahead 48-40 at the end of the third quarter and held on for the vic- tory 67-55.
