Sisseton Boys go 2-0 at home wrestling triangular

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Wrestling Team went 2-0 in the Sisseton Triangular on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Sisseton wrestled Webster first, winning 51-13. There were several matches that were not forfeits, with Kiya Redday, Gavin Fryer and Aykre Piotter all getting wins for the Redmen in those matches.

Sisseton Gymnastics Team takes third in Deuel Quad

The Sisseton Redmen Gym-nastics Team took third place in Deuel Quad on Friday, Jan. 23, in Clear Lake.

The Deuel Cardinals won the Quad scoring 138 points. The Britton/Hecla Braves took second scoring 133.25. Sisseton was third with 133 points, and Milbank Area fourth with 132.7 points.

Sisseton Girls Wrestlers defeat Webster 17-12 at home

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Wrestling Team defeated the Webster Area Bearcats 17-12 in the Sisseton Triangular on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Sisseton’s Isabella Current defeated Webster’s Macee McGregor in a technical foul 18-3, and Cante Wiliams of Webster pinned Sisseton’s Maryann Rice. These were the only wrestled matches, as all other points were from forfeits. Hamlin takes care of Sisseton

The Hamlin Chargers Boys Basketball Team, ranked second in Class A in the state, came to Sisseton and took care of the Redmen 63-21 on Thursday, Jan. 29.

Sisseton falls to No. 3 Hamlin

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team fell to the third ranked Class 11A Hamlin Chargers 39-69 on Thursday, Jan. 29, at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton.

Sisseton will travel to Clark on Thursday, Feb. 5, and the Dak II NEC Clash on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Langager has big game against GPL

Sisseton’s Piper Langager had a big game scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocked shots to lead the Redmen to a 72-33 victory over the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers on Monday, Jan. 26.

Saylor Langager added 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks for the Redmen. Kennedy Hanson had 12 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Sisseton jumped out to a 22-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and cruised to a 64-41 win.

Sisseton Girls win in overtime over Redfield

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team nabbed a big win in overtime over the Redfield Pheasants 49-47, on Saturday, Jan. 24, in Redfield.

Sisseton’s Saylor Langager hit a shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. In the overtime, Sisseton outscored Redfield 8-6 to bring home the victory.
