Sisseton hosts Schubert Track Meet on May 8; Schubert honored

4x800 METER RELAY TEAM WINS RACE – Sisseton’s Holden Hawkins crosses the finish line to win the 4x800 Meter Relay Race for the Redmen at the Schubert (Twilight) Track Meet held in Sisseton on Friday, May 8. Team members were Ryder Graff, Brett Hansen, Bremer DeSpiegler and Holden Hawkins.

The Sisseton Redmen Track Teams hosted the Schubert (Twilight) Track Meet on Friday, May 8, at the Sisseton Athletic Complex, with the field events starting at 1:00 p.m. and the running starting at 2:00 p.m.

The Sisseton Girls were led by Nikki Hoeger’s first place win in both the Shot Put and Discus, Izzy Metz’s win in the Pole Vault, and the first place finish for the 4x200 Meter Relay Team (Shaylee Grey, Harper Bartz, Autim Hanson and Bri White).

For the Sisseton Boys, Noah Estwick won the 3200 Meter Run, Carter Stickland won the Pole Vault, and Alexander Settles won the Long Jump. Also taking first place for the Redmen were the 4x800 Meter Relay Team (Ryder Graff, Brett Hansen, Bremer DeSpiegler and Holden Hawkins) and the SMR 1600 Meter Relay Team (LJ Crooks, Brett Hansen, Holden Hawkins and Ryder Graff).
