Wendell died Sunday, April 28, 2024, at his residence.

Funeral services for Wendell Fossum, age 73, of Norfolk, NE, were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Rev. Randy Rassmussen officiated,

Visitation was Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk.

Burial at a later date.

Memorial Service for David Lee Christianson, 77, of Sisseton, SD, was held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 1:30 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, with Rev. Joshua Knudsen officiating.

There was visitation one hour prior to the Memorial Service at the church.

Inurnment will be at later date at the Wilmot Lutheran Cemetery, Wilmot, SD.

Leroy E. Likness, age 87, New Effington, SD, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Tekakwitha Living Center in Sisseton, SD.

Funeral Services were Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in New Effington with Rev. Pat Schubert officiating.

Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial was in the Palestine Cemetery, rural Veblen, SD.

Memorial Service for Lloyd Allen Pies, 91, of Sisseton, SD, will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Roberts County 4-H Building, Sisseton, SD.

There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Gerald “Jerry” Bergstrom

Gerald Bergstrom, 72, of Nisswa MN, formerly of Lisbon, ND, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

A Memorial Service was held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, MN.

There was a visitation held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, MN, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on April 15, 2024.

Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Lisbon, ND, at a later date. 

Theodore “Ted” Yochim

Ted passed away on April 4, 2024, at the Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD.

Funeral Service for Theodore Alexander Yochim, 94, of Sisseton, SD, was held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD, with Pastor Thomas Mueller officiating.

Military Rites by the Otto-Quande-Renville American Legion Post #50 and Ft. Sisseton VFW Post #3342.

Visitation was on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Cahill Funeral Chapel from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Interment was at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hoffman, MN.

She passed away October 29, 2023, at the age of 94.

A memorial service will be held April 27, 2024 at Walla Lutheran Church rural New Effington at 1:00 p.m.

Sharri (Carl Julius) Rosendahl

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sharri Lynn, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and animal lover. Sharri, age 67 years, passed away peacefully after a nearly 5-year battle with malignant metastatic melanoma brain cancer at Edgebrook Care Center in Edgerton, MN, on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 3:27 pm surrounded by her three daughters.

There will not be a funeral service or public memorial service for Sharri, at her request. May her soul rest in eternal peace and love!

Joan Elizabeth (Holman) Carruthers of Springfield, MN, age 89, passed away at Arbor Springs Memory Care Center in West Des Moines, IA, on Friday, April 5, 2024.

Visitation was on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church, Springfield, MN.

The funeral ceremony was held at the St. John Lutheran Church on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. The clergy was Chaplain Noel Wetter.

Interment was at the Springfield City Cemetery.

George John Krista

The memorial mass for longtime Eden area farmer, George Krista, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eden, SD. Rev. Fr. Ken Lulf celebrated the mass.

Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at the church, concluding with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service.

Interment was in St. Michael Cemetery of Eden under the direction of the Olson Funeral Chapel of Britton.
