People helping people by making masks

People all over the country, and all over Roberts County want to help in any way they can in this war against the novel coronavirus. In World War II, people knitted socks; for this war, they are making masks for those on the front lines, and for the vulnerable. They will keep making masks as long as there is a need.

Local ladies, unbeknownst to each other, have set up Facebook pages to help provide the local needs, including “We Can Do It – Mask It!” and “Mask Up Sisseton Community.”

Designs selected for Highway 10 Roundabout Public Art in Sisseton

The Sisseton Arts Council and the City of Sisseton have announced that two sculpture designs have been selected for installation at Sisseton’s Highway 10 roundabouts later this summer.

Santa Letters

It’s that time of year again! Santa is waiting expectantly to receive all those letters from children, and the Sisseton Courier has its special mailbox ready to express mail those letters straight to Santa at the North Pole. Above, Hunter Adams deposits his letter in the mailbox at the Courier. Letters will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 9, and will be reprinted in the Dec. 17 Christmas edition of the Courier.
