The Sisseton Ministerial Food Pantry will be open from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:

• Thursday, Apr. 16, hosted by First Baptist Church.

The Food Pantry is located in Sisseton on the corner of First Avenue West and Maple Street, west of Baus Oil.

Roberts County Youth Shooters fare well in Madison tournament

Members of the Roberts County Youth Shooters (RCYS) participated in the 2026 Madison American Legion Post 25 BB Gun Championship in Madison over the last weekend in March. Coaches Shane and Lori Braaten took 19 shooters to compete in categories from ages eight to 15, and one in the senior division. RCYS’s shooters stacked up well against all other competitors.

Support Group for Grandparents Raising Grandkids meets Apr. 20

A newly formed, monthly Support Group for Grandparents who are Raising Grandkids, will have its first meeting on Monday, Apr. 20, at 1:00 p.m., at New Hope Free Lutheran Church, located at 401 Veterans Ave. downtown Sisseton.

We will be discussing the concern of how to recognize drug and alcohol use in children and how to most effectively address the concern with them. Sisseton Community Blood Drive on Apr. 14

A Sisseton Community Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, Apr. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sisseton City Hall.

To make an appointment, please contact Judy at (605) 698-7953. You may also visit vitalant.org or call 877-25-VITAL and use blood drive code: Sisseton.

Those who give blood between Apr. 6-30 to help patients in need will be entered for a chance to win one of two $10,000 gift cards*. That’s enough to buy groceries for a year!

Sisseton Area Women’s Connection meeting Apr. 22

Sisseton Area Women’s Connection will be meeting on Wednesday, Mar. 22, at the Assembly of God Family Life Center, West Highway 10, Sisseton, at 9:30 a.m. Coffee and snack will be provided. There is a small cost. Contact Reva Cordie for a reservation at 605-237-0497. Reservations are desired, but walk-ins are welcome. Come and bring a friend. It’s open to all women and a great opportunity to have fellowship with others in our surrounding community.

Sisseton Area Special Olympics Teams Participate at State Basketball Tournament

Sisseton Area Special Olympics teams participated in the State Basketball Tournament in Mitchell Mar. 28-29. The Senior Unified team (top photo) brought home the Silver Medal. Pictured are (back row, left to right) Nevada Seda, Royce Iverson, Hunter Gaikowski, Jorell Eastman-Crawford, Vash St. John, Head of Delegation Michelle Greseth, Student Manager Jackson Greseth, (front row) Angelo Benolirao, Harlyn Perlado and Von Elliel Marquez, all Unified Players. The Junior team (Bottom photo) played in the Traditional 3x3 division and brought home the Gold Medal.
