STRONG STORM HITS REGION

A strong storm rolled through Northeastern South Dakota on Thursday, May 12, 2022 around 6:30 p.m. causing some trees to be uprooted in the Sisseton area, campers turned over by Lake Traverse Resort and a trailer house to be destroyed along Lake Traverse. The Sisseton City crew was out after the storm doing clean up of the fallen trees and debris. Otter Tail Power Company said they had about 24,000 people without power in South Dakota and Minnesota with 200 power poles down. Otter Tail will pull people from other crews to help with the repair. They hope to have everyone back online in three to four days. ~ Courier Photos
