Sisseton man sentenced June 24 for Voluntary Manslaughter in connection with a 30-year-old crime

United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced on June 25 that U.S. District Judge Charles B. Kornmann has sentenced a Sisseton man convicted of Voluntary Manslaughter. The sentencing took place on June 24, 2024.

Jay Adams, age 58, was sentenced to ten years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release and ordered to pay a $50 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
