Sisseton’s Kayana Wright takes 2nd runner up at South Dakota Junior Snow Queen Contest

Sisseton’s Jr. Snow Queen Kayana Wright was 2nd runner up at the 2023 South Dakota Jr. Snow Queen Coronation held Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Civic Theatre in Aberdeen.

Kayana, 14, is a freshman at Sisseton High School and resides with her aunt, Jennie Lynn Evenson. She is active in school activities such as Volleyball, Gymnastics, Knowledge Bowl, Choir and Band, as well as in Roberts County 4-H and at the Family Life Assembly of God Church. She was crowned Sisseton Jr. Snow Queen on Nov. 12, 2022, at the 48th annual Sisseton Snow Queen Pageant held at the Sisseton Performing Arts Center.
