On Tuesday., Sept. 13, at 7:00 a.m., the Sisseton community will have the rare privi- lege of a performance by an ensemble of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra (SDSO) at the Sisseton High School Performing Arts Center. All are invited to attend the free performance of original compositions by high school students who participated in this summer’s Music Composition Academy at the Sisseton Wahpeton College. The performance will include both wind quintet and string quartet compositions.

This is the fifth year that the week-long Music Composition Academy (MCA) has been offered. Ten high school students attended the camp this year, held July 11 to 15 at no cost. This included students from Tiospa Zina Tribal School, Sisseton High School, and Rosholt High School.
