New POW-MIA Flag now flying at the Roberts County Courthouse

If you drive past the Roberts County Courthouse in Sisseton, be sure to keep an eye out for a new flag. Read-Veflin American Legion Post 180, New Effington, recently donated a new POW-MIA flag for the Courthouse.

Presentation of the flag was held on Tuesday, July 12. On hand for the presentation and raising of the flag were American Legion Post 180 Commander Russ McKee, Adjutant/ Finance Officer Keith Bostrom, Post members Butch Leen and Dan Curran, outgoing Roberts County Veterans Service Officer Angela Beacom and new Veterans Service Officer Kim Schroeder, Roberts County Sheriff Tyler Appel, and County Commissioners Faye Johnston, Dennis Jensen, Tom Vergeldt and Tim Zempel.
