A successful auto service business in Browns Valley is under new ownership this spring.

Mike Hansen's Alignment and Brake was sold to Christian Skjonsberg and his cousin Josiah in March. They had started working at the shop in February during the transition.

Mike was glad to find two young mechanics eager to continue the business that he has built for more than 40 years before retiring.

"Absolutely," Mike said. "I didn't want to close. I felt obligated to the people who have supported me for all these years. They really wanted me to stay open until somebody came along."

Christian realizes there is a lot for them to live up to. "You try to keep the good name out there and put out the good quality work," he said.

Mike started his career  as a boy back in the late 1960s working in his father Bob's Chevrolet and Implement dealership. His dad,  and later Kenny Westbrock, served as mentors by teaching many important things, mainly "how to work.
