Brothers Tate and Tyan Johnson of Sisseton led ‘Team South Dakota’ in Team Roping to the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) Finals in Gillette, WY July 17- 23, 2022. Three other teams from South Dakota joined Tate and Tyan at Gillette and competed against 180 other Team Roping teams.

This NHSRA Finals was the largest one to date with approximately 1,700 contestants representing 42 states and three countries. Tate and Tyan had won the South Dakota High School Rodeo Finals in Ft. Pierre June 15-19 as a stepping stone to Nationals.
