Holland Foundation transfers funds to Sisseton Area Community Foundation

Holland Foundation Funds Transferred to SACF Earlier this year, an agreement was signed between the William J. Holland and Alyce I. Holland Foundation Board of Trustees and the Sisseton Area Community Foundation (SACF) Board of Directors that transferred all funds from the Holland Foundation as a sub-fund to the SACF. Under the new agreement, the SACF Board of Directors will now be responsible for distribution of the sub-fund’s available income each year. A couple with a deep commitment to community service in Sisseton left a legacy for the Sisseton area that has benefitted numerous local organizations for more than 40 years. Earlier this year all funds from the William J. Holland and Alyce I. Holland Foundation were transferred to a sub-fund within the Sisseton Area Community Foundation and will continue to carry out the Holland’s desire to give back to their community for decades to come.
In 2025, the Board of Trustees of the William J. Holland and Alyce I. Holland Foundation signed an agreement with the South Dakota Community Foundation to transfer all the funds in the Holland Foundation to a sub-fund of the Sisseton Area Community Foundation (SACF). Under the new agreement, the SACF Board of Directors will now be responsible for administering the distribution of the sub-fund’s available income in accordance with the original charitable purposes set forth in William J.
