Fort Sisseton VFW Post #3342 and Sisseton American Legion Post #50 hold Annual Membership Dinner on stormy November 11

ENTERTAINMENT -- Rylie Huff (above) provided the music at the Veterans Membership Dinner held Thursday, Nov. 11. She also lead singing of patriotic songs during the ceremony.

LEGION MEMBERSHIP AWARDS -- Members of Sisseton’s Otto-Quande-Renville American Legion Post #50 were recognized for years of continuous membership in the local veterans organization. LEGION AUXILIARY MEMBERSHIP AWARDS -- The Legion Auxiliary presented awards for Years of Membership at the Veterans Day banquet. Auxiliary members present to receive their awards were (left to right) 40 Year Members Margaret Thuringer, DeeDee Forrette, Rose Ann Long.

Fort Sisseton VFW Post #3342 and Otto-Quande-Renville American Legion Post #50 and their Auxiliaries held a combined Veterans Day Membership Dinner on Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11, at Rosalie’s in Sisseton. The event was well attended, with approximately 125 present. A home meal was delivered by Phil George to Gold Star Mother Erma Aadland, and there were a few carry-out meals.

Post Commanders Troy Foster (VFW) and Calvin Hove (American Legion) facilitated the event, along with VFW Auxiliary President Tammy Chase, Legion Auxiliary President Judy Myrum.
