Emanuel Lutheran Church welcomes new vicar

Tom and Bonnie Mueller are natives of Milbank, SD, and are happy to return to their home region to fill the vacancy at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Sisseton, as well as Zion Lutheran Church in Waubay, a dual parish of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS).

Tom recently completed his seminary training at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He is referred to as a “vicar” during his one-year internship as a substitute pastor at the dual parish, a requirement for the completion of his curriculum to receive a certificate of ordination from Concordia. At the end of the year, he may be called to a permanent position at Emanuel and Zion.
