A dad adds spice to life

The children coming out of Westside Elementary these first days of school are excited to see who will greet them after school. Derrick McCauley, father of Drew, decided to make his son’s first days at pre-kindergarten extra-special by meeting him at the end of the school day dressed as a Mario character.

“I thought I wanted to do something special for him, something he’d remember,” said McCauley. “He’s really into Mario.”
