by Mimi Larsen Courier Staff Writer
As the nation approaches the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and the subsequent declaration of war against Japan, it is comforting for the Nigg family to receive word that, finally, their loved one has been found and indentified.
Navy Seaman Second Class Laverne “Budd” Nigg was stationed on the battleship USS Oklahoma during the bombing of Pearl Harbor on the morning of Dec. 7, 1941.
