Aberdeen’s Storybook Land Theatre coming to Sisseton Aug. 16


Storybook Land Theatre to Perform in Sisseton Aberdeen’s Storybook Land Theatre (SBLT) is “setting sail” and hitting the road with their new musical, “How I Became a Pirate,” based on the popular children’s book by Melinda Long. The tour will be making a stop in Sisseton on Tuesday, Aug. 16 with a FREE performance beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Anderson Park. Aberdeen’s Storybook Land Theatre (SBLT) is hitting the road with their new musical, “How I Became a Pirate,” a fantastical, swashbuckling adventure for all ages, based on the beloved children’s book of the same name by Melinda Long, with illustrations by David Shannon.

The tour will be making a stop in Sisseton on Tuesday, Aug. 16 with a FREE performance beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Anderson Park. Those attending may want to bring a chair or blanket for seating. A FREE picnic meal will be served at the park by the Country Kids 4-H Club beginning at 5:30 p.m. (Limited to first 150 guests). In case of bad weather, the performance will be moved to the Sisseton City Hall Community Room.
