The Roncalli Cavaliers Girls Basketball Team rolled past the Sisseton Redmen 62-34 in a Northeast Conference game held at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton on Friday, Jan. 29.

Chloe Langager led the Redmen with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot. Emmalee Nielsen hit for 8 points, had 2 steals and 2 assists. The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team suffered an overtime loss to the Webster Bearcats 62-70 on Thursday, Feb. 4, at Webster.

Leading the way for the Redmen was Chloe Langager with 27 points and 14 rebounds. Sisseton girls fall to Florence/Henry

Wrestlers compete in the Arlington Invite; five place in top four

The Sisseton Redmen Wrestling Team traveled to Arlington to compete in the Arlington Invite on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Sisseton placed five wrestlers in the top 4. Holden Hawkins took first at 106 lbs., Ian Metz took third at 113, Riley Steen took third at 120, Josh Long took third at 138, and Boe Iverson took fourth at 126. Sisseton gymnasts compete at Estelline

The Sisseton Redmen Gymnastics Team traveled to Estelline to take on the Estelline/Hendricks Redhawks in a dual on Tuesday, Jan. 26. The Redhawks defeated the Redmen.

Sisseton’s Emma Dahl took fourth in the all-around scoring 8.950 on vault (her career high score on vault), 7.850 on bars, 6.900 on beam, and 7.300 on floor.

Lexi Metz scored 7.750 on beam, and 7.850 on floor.

Sadie Johnson of Estelline/Hendricks won the all around

The Sisseton Redmen Wrestling Team placed seven wrestlers at the NEC meet in Redfield on Thursday, Jan. 28.

Holden Hawkins took first at 106. Placing third were Boe Iverson at 126, Mason Schultz at 160 and Ethan Skarnagel at 285. Taking fourth were Ian Metz at 113 and Devan Appel at 220. Hannah Goodhart took first in the girls 285. The Sisseton Redmen boys basketball team lost a heartbreaker to the Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers on Thursday, Jan. 28 in Aberdeen.

The Redmen took a 33-29 lead into half-time and had a 46-41 lead at the end of the third quarter, but could not hold off the Cavaliers as they out-scored the Redmen 21-15 in the fourth quarter.
