by Mimi Larsen, Staff Writer Of the 25 candidates representing 25 communities across the state, it was Sisseton’s Jr. Snow Queen, Everleigh Kirk, who was crowned the Junior Snow Queen in Aberdeen on Jan. 5 at the 2025 South Dakota Snow Queen (SDSQ) Festival. Everleigh’s coronation is only the beginning of the excitement her new role will bring in the coming year as she and the Snow Queen travel throughout the state and beyond as ambassadors for the state organization.
