Sisseton takes fourth at Region 1B Wrestling Tournament; eight Redmen place with five advancing to State B Tourney

The Sisseton Redmen wrestling team traveled to Britton on Saturday, Feb. 19, to compete in the Region 1B Tourney. The Redmen took fourth in the tourney, with eight Sisseton wrestlers placing and five advancing to the State B Tournament -- Holden Hawkins, Ian Metz, Boe Iverson, Mason Shultz and Josh Long.

Holden Hawkins took first place in the 113 lb. weight class. Ian Metz (120 lbs.), Boe Iverson (138 lbs), and Mason Shultz (182 lbs.) all took second in their respective weight classes, and Josh Long (152 lbs.) placed third to advance to State.

Also placing for Sisseton at Region 1B were Mason Gray, (fifth at 195 lbs.), Ethan Skarnagel (fifth at 285 lbs.), and Carter Metz (sixth at 170 lbs.).
