Sisseton Redmen Girls advance to SoDak 16 with win over Groton Area at Region 1A

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team will move on to the SoDak 16 with the 52-44 victory over the Groton Area Tigers on Thursday, Feb. 27, in Groton. 

Sisseton fell behind 8-9 at the end of the first quarter after a shaky start from both Sisseton and Groton Area. Sisseton took an 18-17 lead at halftime, but fell behind 30-33 at the end of the third quarter. No team ever had more than a three-point lead during the game. Sisseton tied the game up in the fourth quarter to force the game into overtime. The Redmen dominated in overtime, outscoring Groton 11-3 to bring home the victory.
