Sisseton hosts Region 1A Golf Tournament

The Sisseton Redmen Golf Team hosted the Region 1A Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 25, at the Valley View Golf Course. The top three teams and the top 55% (which was the top 23 and ties) advanced to the State A Tournament held in Rapid City Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 2-3.

Sisseton’s Bradley Hansen led the way for the Redmen shooting a 97 to tie for 32nd place. Luke Nielsen tied for 38th shooting a 101, Cash Opsal took 42nd shooting a 104, and Max Dahlen took 45th shooting a 121. Sisseton did not have any qualifiers for the State Tourney this year.

Frank Barse took 31st place for Tiospa Zina shooting a 96.

The top three teams that qualified for State from Region 1A were Groton (335), Sioux Valley (338) and Aberdeen Roncalli (344).
