Sisseton Boys season comes to an end with loss to Milbank in first round of Region 1A

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team’s season came to an end with a 45-48 loss to the Milbank Bulldogs on Tuesday, Mar. 3, in Sisseton in the first round of the Region 1A tournament.

Both teams got off to a slow start, with Milbank taking a 6-3 lead by the end of the first quarter. Scoring picked up in the second quarter, with Milbank outscoring Sisseton 23-18 to take a 29-21 lead into halftime. Both teams traded baskets in the third quarter, with Milbank taking a 44-35 lead at the end of the third quarter. Sisseton’s defense held Milbank to 4 points in the fourth quarter but could not complete the comeback and fell 45-48.
