Seven Sisseton Boys Wrestlers qualify for State Tourney at Region 1B

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Wrestling Team had seven wrestlers qualify for the State B Tournament at the Region 1B Meet held in Webster on Saturday, Feb. 21. The State B Tournament, scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 26-28, was underway in Sioux Falls at press time.

Sisseton wrestlers who qualified for State at Region 1B included first place finishers Kayden Tchida at 113 lbs., Evan Folk at 132 lbs., and Holden Hawkins at 165 lbs.; second place finishers Blake Steiner at 138 lbs. and Malachi Anderson at 175 lbs.; Isaac Folk, who took third place at 106 lbs., and Aykre Piotter, who took fourth at 126 lbs. Rory Current just missed qualifying for State, taking sixth at 150 lbs.
