Redmen fall to Grizzlies

Sisseton Redmen football team traveled to Waubay to take on the Dakota Hills Grizzlies in a non-conference match up on Friday, Sept. 10 with the Grizzlies pulling out a 29-20 victory.

The game started out with a defense battle with no score at the end of the first quarter. The Grizzlies hit pay dirt scoring on a Damon Opdahl 14 yard kick return with the point after by Seth Gaikowski good. Sisseton marched right down the field on their next possession and Ethan DeSpiegler hit Jairus Chanku on a 14 yard pass for a touchdown with the two-point conversion no good to make the score 7-6 at half-time. Opdahl scored their second touchdown of the night on a 17 yard catch with the two-point conversion no good to make the score 13-6 Grizzlies at the end of the third.
