Groton ends Sisseton season at Region 1A

The Groton Area Tigers ended Sisseton’s volleyball season on Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Redfield in the first round of the Region 1A Tournament. Groton won 3-0 (25-15, 25-19 and 25-12).

Sisseton was led by Avery Despiegler’s 7 kills on 16-20 hitting and 13 digs. Krista Langager added 7 kills on 20-21 hitting. Emmalee Nielsen went 16-19 hitting with 2 kills, 9-10 serving, and had 20 digs. Sadie Medenwald went 42-42 setting with 9 assists, and Hailey Nelson went 33-33 setting with 5 assists.
