Allen Thompson

Allen Thompson, age 77, a beloved member of both the Rosholt, SD and Olympia, WA communities, passed away on May 21, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, WA, surrounded by family.

Funeral mass will be Saturday, August 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rosholt, SD, with Father Ken Lulf officiating.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church, followed by a luncheon at the Community Center after the burial.

Additionally, there will be an informal gathering for family and friends on Friday, August 2, at the Community Center beginning at 4:00 p.m. You are welcome to bring a dish to share between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Burial will be at the Plains of Memory Cemetery, rural New Effington, SD. immediately following the church service.
