Funeral services for Jesse Paul Skarnagel, 47, of Claire City, SD were held Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Veblen, SD. Rev Fr. Jerry Ranek and Pat Schubert officiated.

There was a viewing at the Cahill Funeral Chapel from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 and at 12:00 p.m. until services at the church.

Franklin Navratil, 82, New Effi ngton, SD, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020, at the Browns Valley Health Center surrounded by his family.

Visitation was Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and continued Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in New Effington.

Private family services were held Friday, May 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in New Effington with Rev. Suzanne Benidt officiating.

Burial was in the Bohemian Cemetery, New Effington.

Patricia M. Bennett, 85 of Browns Valley, MN, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, at the Browns Valley Health Center.

Private graveside services were held Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Browns Valley, MN with Father Gregg Frankman officiating.

Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date at the Milbank Cemetery for both Vera and Perry.

Cleo Nielsen passed away April 19, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Richfield, MN at 100 years of age.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with details to come. A family graveside service was held April 24, 2020 at the Veblen Cemetery.

Frances “Fran” Elaine Hanson, age 80, of Deerwood, MN and formerly of Browns Valley, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 30, 2019. A celebration of Fran’s life was held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, 7348 Excelsior Rd, Baxter, MN 56425. Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Sunday at the funeral home in Baxter.
