The Sisseton Redmen cheerleaders won the Spirit of Six Award at the State A Girls Basketball Tournament on Saturday, Mar. 11. The award is given in honor of the six Rapid City cheerleaders who died in a plane crash. Pictured above are (left to right) Hamlin County Sheriff Chad Schlotterbeck who presented the award to Ava Donnell, Carlee Moen, Averee Anderson, Mackenzie Tchida and Evelyn Fritz. In 2014, when the SHS boys basketball team played in the State A Tournament, the SHS cheerleaders took home the Spirit of Six award, wearing the same uniforms.
