Sisseton Cross Country opens season

The first Cross Country meet of the season happened in Milbank on Monday, Aug. 28. The girls ran a 3K run and the boys a 4K run.

In the girls division, Haedyn Shindelbower took 21st place in a time of 18:57.57. Lilianna Garcia took 27th in a time of 24:23.39, and Isabelle Spencer took 28th in a time of 31:05.88.

In the boys division, Ryder Graff took 9th place in a time of 15:32.42.

Ella Koplin of Milbank as the medalist for the girls in a time of 12:51.75, and Payton Brown of Milbank was the medalist for the boys in a time of 13:30.92.

Sisseton will compete in the Britton/Hecla Invite on Tuesday, Sept. 5, and Aberdeen Central Invite on Thursday, Sept. 7.
