Truck overturns east of Sisseton

A semi truck and trailer loaded with corn overturned just east of Sisseton on Tuesday, Apr. 6, at the corner of Hwy 10 and Hwy 127 (the Ace Hardware corner). Responding to the scene of the accident were the SD Highway Patrol, Roberts County Sheriff’s Office, Sisseton City Police, and the Sisseton Volunteer Fire Department. The driver, 53-year-old Chris Davidson of Beardsley, MN, took the corner too fast while turning north onto Hwy 127 from Hwy 10, and the weight shift of the load in the trailer caused the semi to overturn, spilling the entire load of corn into the ditch. ~ Courier Photo
