St. Peter’s Church Octoberfest event on Oct. 11 to feature “to-go” meals

At a time when pandemic precautions have brought changes to many annual activities, St. Peter’s Church in Sisseton has “reimagined” its annual fall bazaar. This year, instead of the September bazaar, St. Peter’s will host an Octoberfest event on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The event will feature a “to-go” meal including pulled pork on a Kaiser bun, cheesy hashbrowns, coleslaw, a soft pretzel, cheese cake and a bottle of water. Meals will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All meals will be pre-packaged in individual boxes and bags. Meals can be picked up “curbside” on the east side of St. Peter’s Hall and taken home to enjoy. If weather permits, some tables and seating may be available outdoors to enjoy your meal on-site. There will also be a “to-go” line with packaged meals available for pick-up inside St. Peter’s Hall. Socially distanced seating will be available in the hall (on a limited basis) for those that feel comfortable eating their meal indoors. The third way to receive a meal is to have it delivered. Delivery is available (in the Sisseton area only) by calling the St. Peter’s Church Office at 698-7415 by Friday, Oct. 9.
