The Sisseton City Council held a special meeting on Monday, Mar. 30 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. The meeting was held to have the second reading of Ordinance 663, which closed down bars, restaurants, food courts, and video lottery rooms. Restaurants will be able to stay open for drive through and take out. The full Ordinance was published in the Mar. 31 edition of the Sisseton Courier.

Representative Tamara St. John discussed the resent bill that would allow the Dept. of Health to shut down businesses in South Dakota. The vote failed because the legislature was not willing to let the Dept. of Health have that level of authority.
