Jane Medhaug Day proclaimed by Governor

In an official proclamation, Gov. Kristi Noem declared July 1, 2021 to be Jane Medhaug Day in South Dakota. This special honor was revealed to Jane by her supervisor during a retirement celebration on her special day, one day before she retired after 40 years of service at the SD Department of Labor office in Sisseton.

Jane’s career in state government started when she was still a student at South Dakota State University, when she was hired as a summer intern in the state’s Watertown office.
