Anyone driving past the new Midway Green Space on Hwy 10 will have seen the eight large blocks of limestone set in place on Tuesday, Aug. 27, after a blessing of the stones and the site. Local Indigenous artist Inkpa Mani will be carving a sculpture on-site over the coming months.

Called “Taku Ska Ska: Sacred Movement,” Mani’s sculpture will represent “the strong women and matriarchs we all come from and the generational impact they leave behind.
