For the first time in nine years, a new name will be added to the record board at Sisseton High School for State Wrestling Champion: Hannah Goodhart. Hers will be only the fifth name in the history of SHS sports to grace that board. Hannah won the heavy weight class in the SDHSAA Class B Girls State Championship Tournament, held in Rapid City Feb. 25-27.

“This is a historic accomplishment,” said Head Wrestling Coach Kasey Metz Saturday night after the tournament, while his wrestlers and their families celebrated their success. “She is the first girl to wrestle for SHS, and the first girl to win a state championship.” For more on this story and many more please purchase a copy of the Sisseton Courier on news stands now or purchase a copy of the E-edtion on this website..
