Changes around town due to COVID-19

Due to the Coronavirus and social distancing, things have changed around Sisseton over the past week. Above is a picture of the Sisseton High School. The school district has followed Governor Noem’s recommendation and closed school through Friday, May 1. All extra-curricular activities have also been canceled through May 1. Students and teachers are now navigating distance learning.

The Roberts County Courthouse (pictured at right) is closed to the public. Offices are still open and employees are working, but the building is closed to the public. Employees ask that you call first and they will meet customers at the door. The judge is still presiding over court cases. No friends or family members are allowed to sit in the court room to watch.

Due to the Coronavirus many businesses are doing curbside service - with the public not allowed in their buildings. Pictured at bottom right is Wells Fargo on Veterans Avenue with a chair and banking forms in the entry way. ~ Courier Photos
