Autism Topic of Annual NDEAM Speaker

“America’s Recovery POWERED BY INCLUSION” is the theme of National Disability Employment Awareness Month this year. A local NDEAM Celebration will be Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, with a box dinner at 6:00 p.m. and speaker at 6:45 at Family Life Center, 404 West Hickory St., Sisseton.

Featured speaker is Marcelle Ciampi, M.Ed. (aka Samantha Craft), a respected author and international ambassador with autism (Aspergers). She has been featured at over 100 events around the world. Ciampi is best known for writings found in the well received book Everyday Aspergers, endorsed by best-selling author Steve Silberman. She is the Senior Manager of DEI at Ultranauts Inc., an engineering firm with an autism hiring initiative (featured in the New York Times), where Ciampi is credited for largely architecting an innovative universal design approach to workplace inclusion.
